Examination of connectionist models for normal and abnormal cognitive functioning including connectionist modeling techniques from basic to advanced level. Simulation programs concerning constraint satisfaction, learning, categorization, attention, and sequential information processing, hybrid connectionist/control architectures, limitations and interactions between connectionist and symbolic processing will be discussed. Sensitivity analysis techniques are discribed and effects of pathology and the physiological feasibility of connectionist assumptions are considered.
