The course will presuppose familiarity with AI programming techniques and research methods. Specific topics include: logic-based representations, semantic networks, frame-based representations, rule-based methods, object oriented methods, conceptual dependency networks, nonmonotonic reasoning, and specific issues in representation of casual, temporal, and spatial relations.
Prerequisites: either CS 1573 or CS 2710 or consent of instructor
