Sera Linardi Receives Pitt Partnerships of Distinction Award

Sera Linardi, an ISP faculty member, associate professor of the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, and director of the Center for Analytical Approaches to Social Innovation (CAASI), received a Partnership of Distinction Award for the Allegheny County Policing Project.

Launched by Grief to Action, a working group within CAASI, the data platform project aims to bring transparency to the police accountability process on a local level. The site allows users to search police contracts and a map of the police departments within Allegheny County. It also includes a Complaint FAQ about the different phases of filing a police complaint.

Linardi and CAASI won the award, which recognizes organizations that have formed strong partnerships with Pitt and positively impacting Pitt’s surrounding communities, at this year’s Community Engaged Scholarship Forum. Two other projects also received the award.
