Natural Language Processing and Information Retreival Group

The Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval group is pursuing research in a wide range of natural language processing problems, including discourse and dialogue, spoken-language processing, affective computing, subjectivity and opinion extraction, statistical parsing, machine translation, and information retrieval.

Group members participate in extensive collaborations with several academic institutions to enhance real-world applications in areas such as automated tutoring, question answering, machine translation systems, and information extraction from medical records.
